Sister Wives, Their Family and Children

Sister Wives, on TLC, is about a family that wanted to appear to be normal. This family has sixteen children, nothing normal about that. But the biggest non normality of this family is there were four wives and only one father, Mr. Kody Brown. When this television show first aired on TLC, it drew great media attention due to this family was different and the children were different. Granted there may have been a few interesting things about the show, but overall, I feel that it is not worth your time to even watch it.

To think that Sister wives is about normal families was quite a bit of a stretch. The show tried to reveal closeness with the children and the father. However, with the father not really being the provider of the family, it was difficult to justify him trying to get us to believe that it was his right to have multiple wives and numerous children in his family. Being on welfare by the state of Utah does not make you a good provider.

The family is shown on this Sister Wives show to get you to believe that they are hard, honest working family and that they love their children as much as any parent would love their children. I do not disagree that you can have enough love to go around to sixteen children at one time. But I cannot agree to that fact that you need multiple women to achieve this goal.

TLC has other families on their channel that depicts large families with only one father and one mother. This is normal. And in their cases, the father is able to provide for his large family and does not rely on the state through welfare to give them life's basic necessities.

I believe in family and children, but Sister Wives misses the mark for me and I think you should not waste your time on this show.

Sister Wives

Sister wives is a television reality show that is shown on the cable channel TLC in America. This show Sister Wives was on the air in 2010 and was mainly about life of a polygamist family that lived in the state of Utah.

The star of Sister Wives was the husband whose name is Kody Brown. Mr. Brown basically lived a life with four women hence the name, sister wives, that he claims were his wives and together they gave birth to sixteen children. Mr. Brown was a popular individual as he was able to accomplish what all men really want, multiple women without any guilt.

The show began in September 2010. The second season is to begin March 2011. Mr. Brown and all of wives and children stated that they wanted to let the public see how their lives really were. They want the public to believe that they are normal people and families like you and me. Frankly, I do not see anything normal about any of the families at all. Since it was their goal to break down any prejudices that the world has, I do not believe that they made their point. In fact, just the opposite, I believe that this show was able to show how one man is incapable of having multiple wives in today's society. As the Browns allowed the world to come into their world, the state of Utah brought criminal charges against them such as child abuse and child trafficking.

I really did not see anything good about this show. I believe that there are many other cable shows more worthy of your time to watch. This is just trash and TLC needs to cancel this and move on.
